Within the different types of European visas, the short stay visa or Schengen, is the more common. With this type of visa is possible to visit the 27 Schengen States for a period of less than three months (90 days) in any half of the year from the date of first entry into the Schengen area. This visa is issued for one or multiple entries and usually its validity period is not more than five years.
If you plan to go to Europe with a short-term visa must do so at the Consulate of the country where you will stay the longest period, not necessarily in the country of your first entry.
It is important to remind that the documentation will be only accepted in the relevant languages, so if you are requesting a Visa to some of the countries represented, please make sure to send all the documents in the appropriate official language.
In terms of Family Reunion visas, it should be noted that these are not regulated by the common European standards; they are rather regulated by the policies of each individual European country.
